Lavery Library Guest Access Policies

This guide provides information to guests wishing to visit Lavery Library.

Welcome

Lavery Library welcomes non-Fisher visitors in accordance with these policies.

Building, Conduct, and Collection Policies:

Building access:

  • Library spaces and computer stations are dependent upon availability, with current Fisher staff, faculty, and students receiving priority access.
  • Our building is publicly available without a Fisher ID card from Opening to 5 p.m. on weekdays. To be let into our building on weekdays after 5 p.m. and during weekend operating hours, please call the Checkout Desk at 585-385-8165.

Conduct:

  • Guests are welcome to utilize the library in accordance with the University's policies and Student Code of Conduct.
  • Guests that violate these policies or disturb our community will be asked to leave campus. The University reserves the right to remove guests from campus at any time.

Collection Access:

  • Materials are available for in-building use. Nazareth, RRLC, and Alumni borrowers may have additional access as described in our Loan Periods and Policies.
  • Databases are available for on-campus use. For a list of publicly available databases that may be accessed from off-campus, select from our list of free/open access databases.
