Research Based Writing 1299 Library Instruction Outcomes

  1. Students will identify differences between scholarly, trade, and popular publications in order to select the proper resources for their research.
  2. Students will recognize the key concepts within their research statement in order to more effectively search library databases.
  3. Students will brainstorm for related keywords to their topic in order to find a variety of research articles on their topic.
  4. Students will utilize available database searching strategies in order to focus and expand their search.
  5. Students will bring together these new skills by using a library database to find good quality articles for their research.
