We are looking for testers for our library website. By providing your time for this test, you will be given a voucher which will be good towards payment of library fines.
Yes! We'd love your help, even if you don't need fines waived... you'll get a voucher you can use, just in case.
A limited number of testing times are available. We will do our best to make a time work for you, but do not guarantee that a timeslot will be available.
Vouchers are available to current students as a certificate toward overdue fines only, not replacement fines, at the end of their usability testing session. Students must be available for the entire 30 minute duration of testing, and if they do not show up they must reschedule to get their voucher. This voucher may be used to waive up to $10.00 in overdue fines at any point up until the expiration date listed on the voucher.
Students may only redeem the voucher one time. If a student wishes to use the voucher toward a $6.00 fine, the entire voucher will be considered redeemed and the remaining value will not be refunded; Lavery Library will reclaim the voucher. Students must present the voucher at Lavery Library's Checkout Desk with valid photo ID for any overdue fines to be waived. Lavery Library will not replace, waive fines for, or refund the value of the voucher if the voucher is lost, stolen, or destroyed. The voucher is not redeemable for cash.
Eligible students may participate in usability testing 1 time per Academic Year. Vouchers expire according to the expiration date listed on the voucher.
The test will be recorded via screen capture, and any spoken feedback before, during, and immediately following the test will be captured. Your name will not be associated with the test.
Library faculty and staff may present or publish on the basis of these tests, though no identifying information about individual testers will be included.
By consenting to participate in the test, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to these terms.
