Lavery library is committed to providing support for faculty who are teaching classes online, and for their students who study remotely.
You can share links to the library's Research Guides, video tutorials, or one of our databases.
When you share content through email or Brightspace, such as online journals, articles, and eBooks, make sure to link to content from the library catalog, library databases, or content that is open-access.
If there is no access through the library or in the open web, use Interlibrary Loan.
Lavery Librarians are pleased to help students with coursework and research.
Library books, media, magazines, and interlibrary loan materials are quarantined for five days upon return. As an extra precaution, we strongly encourage you to wash your hands before and after using library materials.
You can place items on hold for pickup at our Checkout Desk by signing in when searching the library's Big Red Box, or by placing requests through interlibrary loan. If you're working remotely and can't make it to campus, we'll ship items to you or scan a chapter of a book for you upon request!
Due to widespread closures across the country, interlibrary loan may be slower than usual, and we're providing electronic access to materials whenever possible.
If you would like something placed on course reserve, or if you need a resource for your classes, please contact Rick McAlister (rmcalister@sjfc.edu) as soon as possible. It may take a little longer to find digital versions of what you need for your students.
