New Digital Services at Lavery Library: New Journal Lookup

Your guide to some of the new digital services at Lavery Library.

What's Journal Lookup? When should I use it?

Looking for a specific article, but don't know which database it's in?  The Journal Lookup page helps you find which of the library's databases have full-text of a journal in them.

Also, if you're looking for an article and have its citation, you can see which databases include the year that article was published, since a database might not have full-text for the newest or oldest articles in a journal.

About the New Journal Lookup

The new Journal Lookup page comes from a different provider, so the look and some of the functions you might expect from our old Journal Lookup may be different.

The Titles tab provides most of the functions you would likely look for: type part of a journal title and click  the search button to see what databases have full-text.  The Citation Finder tab asks you for many more fields from a citation; most of the time, just the journal title should be fine.  The Advanced Search tab has other options, such as ISSN and DOI searches, for users with more specific needs.

You can access the Journal Lookup from the "Journals" tab of the library search box, as in the screenshot below.

You can also find it by clicking "Find Journals by Title" in the main page menu.Menu link to Find Journals by Title
