IUCN Red List

The International Union for the Conservation of Nature's (IUCN) Red List is a database of 98,500 plant and animal species. The Red List organizes animals based on their conservation status ranging from species of Least Concern to those species known to have gone extinct. Each species entry in the Red List contains information on the current conservation state of the animal, its geographical location, taxonomical information, as well as population statistics and threats the species faces.
